Capital Women's Care Annapolis is made up of a team of professionals dedicated to providing the best quality healthcare in a responsive and caring environment. Our doctors all have years of experience in the profession. They work in concert with nurses and office staff who try to understand your health issues quickly and apply the right treatment to get you back to your optimal health.

Lori Sweitzer, D.O.
Obstetrician & Gynecologist
Dr. Lori Sweitzer is a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She completed her internship in Michigan at Mount Clemends Hospital and her residency at St. John's Detroit Riverview Hospital.
After working in the St. John Macomb and Oakwood Southshore Systems, Dr. Sweitzer returned to Maryland to practice at Anne Arundel Medical Center in 2008. Her medical interests include Minimally Invasive Surgery, including DaVinci Robotic-Assisted and Laparoscopic Procedures, Menstrual Irregularities and Menopausal Care. Dr. Sweitzer and her daughter currently reside in Annapolis, Maryland.

Barbara R.
L.P.N.
Barbara graduated from nursing school in 1984 and has been an LPN for 31 years. She started with Dr. Henry Sobel in 1989 in the OB/GYN field and has been with this practice ever since. Many of our patients are comforted in the fact that she is a very familiar face! Please feel free to contact Barb with any medical questions on ext. 3.

Kacie Dunn, WHNP-BC
Kacie Dunn, WHNP-BC graduated from Howard Community College in 2012 with an Associates in Nursing. After nursing school she was a labor and delivery nurse at Anne Arundel Medical Center, while earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Maryland College School in 2016, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Ms. Dunn went on to complete her graduate studies at the University of Cincinnati where she earned her Masters of Science specializing in Women’s Health in 2020. She has practiced in Prince Georges County and Howard County as a Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Dunn’s medical interests include Women’s Care, Obstetrics Care, and Contraceptive Counseling. Ms. Dunn fully enjoys being a Nurse Practitioner, in her free time she loves spending time with family, her dog Bella, and traveling.

Stephanie Forte Deese

Mrs. Stephanie Forte Deese is a Nurse Practitioner in OB/GYN. She attended the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and is certified by the National Certification Corporation where she earned her degree in Women’s Health. She practiced in Baltimore County for 10 years, where she focused on Women’s Care, Contraceptive Counseling, and Obstetrics.
Mrs. Forte Deese is passionate about her patients, health care, and is mission driven. She resides in Baltimore County with her family, and loves outdoors, sports, animals and listening to music (you may hear me humming a tune at times).
